Chapter Bekantan and Indonesian Wildlife membimbing peserta didik menyusun dan memahami teks laporan ilmiah faktual (*Report Text*) mengenai keanekaragaman fauna endemik Nusantara yang terancam punah.

Peserta didik mempelajari struktur generik Report Text yang terdiri atas *General Classification* (klasifikasi umum taksonomi dan habitat) dan *Description* (uraian detail mengenai ciri fisik, perilaku makan, reproduksi, serta ancaman kepunahan habitat).

Materi kebahasaan menekankan penguasaan kalimat pasif (*Passive Voice: is/are + V3*) untuk mendeskripsikan fakta objektif satwa liar, penggunaan kata sifat teknis (*endemic, arboreal, nocturnal*), serta pengembangan kesadaran pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati.

Endemic Species
A plant or animal species that is naturally unique to a specific geographic region and found nowhere else on earth.
Arboreal
Living in trees or spending a major portion of time moving among tree branches.
